The Lorax speaks for the trees...

This is my sustainable solution to the problem in "The Lorax" regarding the Truffula Trees and all of the Parties involved with them.

First off I would like to define Sustainable

Sustainable: The ability to control the use of a resource so it is not depleted or made unavailable for use by future generations.

Well, now that that's all out of the way lets get to business.  First of I am going to list all of the Users of the Truffula Trees.  They are:

The Swami-Swams

The Barba-Loots

The Lorax

The Onceler's

The Hummingfish

And the Consumers

Now, in my plan I would limit the Onceler to 1000 trees a year, and for every Truffula tree he takes he has to plant 10 more seeds to make up for the deficit so over a period of time the trees would grow back and be more prosperous than they ever were before.  I would also put sever restrictions on the machinery he would be allowed to use do to the excessive amounts of pollution that he causes, I basically would try and stop the Onceler from being a Onceler and leaving the area in a complete state of destruction.

This would provide the Swami-Swams and the Hummingfish with a better environment to swim without all the polution and smuck invading the atmosphere and their waters and lakes.

By doing this the Barba-Loots would not have to move away either, they would still have plenty of trees to live in and eventually they would have more trees than ever allowing them to prosper and reproduce enormous amounts of baby Barba-Loots.

The Onceler's could still produce a booming amount of Thneeds and keep their business thriving, while at the same time keeping the nature and environment around them thriving as well.

Finally, the consumers could still buy their multi-purpose Thneeds and do whatever they please with them.  Perhaps make socks, or shoes, or a rug, or a jacket, or maybe a baseball cap, or bat, or uniform? Hmmm...

By doing all of the things listed above I believe that all the parties involved in this situation will be well-off and able to survive better than ever.
